Option II: Physical Education Alternate Setting Opportunity for Student Athletes:
- Student Athletes who participate on a JV or Varsity and wish to opt out of their Physical Education Assigned Period must complete an application to be considered
- You will be responsible for weekly submission and a culminating paper
- Student Athletes cannot opt out of their assigned marking period's Health Class
Please note: You must be logged into your Chromebooks to submit application.
Alternate Setting Application Deadlines:
Marking Period 2 Application submitted by 11/22 (no 10th graders can apply)
Marking Period 3 No New Applications. Winter continuation, Juniors Only. No new applicants. Seniors Report to Health.
Marking Period 4 Application submitted by 4/ (no 11th graders can apply)
After submitting, please print and complete the required signature sheet.
Alternate Setting Portfolio Requirements:
- Weekly log which includes:
- Time Spent in Alternate Setting
- List of Activities connected to Standards
- Physical Education Content Standards
- End of Setting Analysis which includes:
- 3 – 5 page essay which analyzes your Alternate Setting Experience
- Use the weekly log Content Standards as the basis for your essay
- Critical questions: What did you learn? How did you grow? What goals did you achieve?
